Public Service Announcement

Funny -- cute -- sexy -- serious.

Well done.

  1. well done, except that the majority of women in that video are under mammography screening age.

  2. I agree with your comment about being cute and, in a boobies way, sexy...but I question the accuracy of the statements at the end:

    1. mammograms detect breast CA much earlier? well, mammos don't detect breast cancer at all, if we are going to be a bit nit-picky - but that is probably beyond the general public. but i am not sure there is much evidence for mammos detecting breast cancer much earlier anyway (detecting abnormalities of some kind, maybe)

    2. mammos dramatically increase survival? surely not! some studies show a modest survival benefit, but not a 'dramatic' one. and, it is not really the mammos that help with survival, but early detection and diagnosis in general...the best method to accomplish this remains debateable

  3. Yuck, me and my breasts were disgusted by that. Very offensive.

  4. Aww, I thought it was cute.

I had my first screening at 35 because my grandmother had breast cancer. Some people need to be checked early.
