Well, it's only a few years late, but despite its lack of timeliness, this is the best review of Star Wars, the Phantom Menace that I have ever seen.

Amidala does eventually get some personality in parts 2 and 3, no?
I watched them all. Epic. All the things you knew were wrong with 1-3, and with pizza rolls and laugh out loud silly things thrown in. (His sense of history is hysterical, and wrong).
Yeah, I did wind up watching them all.
And I think it's fair to say that the history is deliberately wrong, as are most of the "errors" such as the pronunciation of "Pro-ta-GON-ist". The analysis is dead right, though.
The "basement scene" probably made me laugh the hardest.
Some people do have too much time on their hands.
