At least they admitted that they were wrong EVENTUALLY...
But they DIDN'T really admit they were wrong! They claimed that "further investigation and experimentation have confirmed the findings of Isaac Newtown". This is a face-saving half-truth: the laws of Newtonian mechanics were well-established in 1920, and there were no new experiments that the Times should have been aware of in the interim.
I don't understand people... sometimes people act irracional antd that really piss me off.
