Hahaha... can't say I've ever been able to do THAT before, but I love skating on the river to get downtown to do some shopping in Ottawa where I live! Us Crazy Canadians, indeed.
It's Winnipeg, which is kind of self-explanatory :-)
I'm in Southern Ontario, and when I was a kid we loved finding odd places to skate- mall parking lots were always good if you could get there before the salters.
I'm jealous of Canuck Med Student- I have so many friends who've lived in Ottawa who have told me how awesome the canal is in Winter. I wish that I could skate to work in the mornings.
As a kid in Toronto I'd skate on the tennis court in front of my house or in the field behind it when they froze over. Didn't have to worry about falling through ice into a pond, just be careful of some of the taller grass poking through the layer of ice. Good memories.
By the way, the rest of the country calls it Winterpeg for good reason.

The passing signals is what kills me.

That's far too cold for me. Under 65 and I'm cranky, for real.
Good job on the passing signals though. Safety first!
Sans helmets though....
Looks like a lot of fun.

Wonder what happens when one of the skaters hits a dry spot and falls down in front of the car....
And noone has any problems with the driver of this car filming and driving on an ICY road.

Shouldn't they be playing hockey on that highway. What's the matter with them? Are they really Canadians?
