1860 was an interesting election year.
Even if the Democrats did not have a split ticket, they received only 84 electoral votes to Lincoln's 180, while winning 2,230,666 popular votes to Lincoln's 1,866,452.
Of course, they would have won more states, thus more electoral votes, but it is interesting to see how the numbers actually worked out.
