Deep Thought

Creeping through the house in the predawn darkness, the iPhone serves
as an excellent flashlight.

  1. Hah! I do that all the time with cell phones. Haven't had a chance to upgrade yet. Must be our common problem of not waking the kids when leaving for a shift.

  2. http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=284885844&mt=8&v0=WWW-NAUS-ITUHOME-TOPAPPLICATIONS

the mylite application! it slices, it dices, it basically just makes the screen all white with max brightness for use as a flashlight.

Also will put up a picture of a lighter for rock concerts and the like.

Link will pull it up in the app store.

  3. "Can it be used as a flashlight?" is the first line of consideration that Apple uses to decide whether an app can be registered in the App Store, according to this image:

  4. I've used my Treo as a flashlight. :)

  5. Haha - I have done that with my iPod at night. I listen to podcasts when I go to bed so it is on my nightstand. I have picked it up and used it as a flashlight to go exploring if I hear a creak or if the power goes out.
