You Can't Handle the Truth!

Count the Lies

Obama finally starts hitting back on the McCain campaign's serial untruths:

Or how about this whopper? From the AP:

Move over, Al Gore. You may lay claim to the Internet, but John McCain helped create the BlackBerry.
At least that's the contention of a top McCain policy adviser, Douglas Holtz-Eakin. Waving his BlackBerry personal digital assistant and citing McCain's work as a senator, he told reporters Tuesday, "You're looking at the miracle that John McCain helped create."
McCain has acknowledged that he doesn't know how to use a computer and can't send e-mail, one of the BlackBerry's prime functions.
Of course, this isn't really a "lie" per se, more like a deranged claim by an increasingly desperate campaign. But the pathologic willingness of the McCain campaign to disregard reality is still staggering.

How about another from the serial liar, or mentiroso, as the case were:

If you, like I, are Espanol-impaired, a translation can be read here. And yes, it's awesome: breathtaking in its dishonesty. The immigration bill was supported greatly by the Democrats, including Obama, who voted for a couple of amendments which did not pass and were not responsible for the ultimate defeat of the bill at the hands of McCain's right-wing base. Mr "Principles" McCain himself has now said that he would no longer support his own immigration bill, in favor of "border control." But they run an ad painting Obama as anti-immigration.

Even Fox News can't ignore their lying any more.

War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength
We have always been at war with Eastasia

I'm starting to enjoy your political posts more and more.

This is another loser, SF. You Obamatons have zero credibility on “the truth.” Not merely because “the One” routinely tells whoppers himself, but also because your side spent 18 months (in 1997/1998) telling us it was fine for a president to be a pathological liar.

This ad campaign (not to mention your frantic recitation of the talking points) reeks of desperation. And your trepidation is justified. It is increasingly obvious that McCain & Palin are going win, probably by a wide margin.

Nice ads. Obama really changes the tone in Washington away from partisan squabbling, nasty insults, etc. Oh wait--no he doesn't. I guess he's the liar.

I fear the day may come that McCain and Palin win. If that happens, kiss your middle-class patients good bye.

If you're interested in reading another wingnut doctor's take on the way medical care "should be," GOP style, take a peek at Mockabadoc's last four diatribes. In his opinion, healthcare is not a right, but a privilege to be enjoyed by a fortunate few.

Heaven knows his site could use the traffic.

Catron:
Feel free to refer to all of Obama's lies. Please give references (I expect to see them rather than your reference-less personal opinion). Please also it is not 1998 rather 2008. Can you tell the difference between a president lying about an act with an intern (even to his own people, which I am not justifying) and the present? Let's look at the difference between 1998 and now. The economy was very strong, wall street doing well (except the fall of 1998 which it recovered from), no war. Now look at today, jobs moving to China in droves, financial giants seeking protection or going under (thanks to Phil Graham for his winter 2000 sneak deregulation legislation he snuck in during the gore-bush fiasco..look it up). The dow now down 4,000 points almost from it's high (lower than when W started office almost 8 years ago), fifth year of unecessary war, seventh year of a necessary war that was weakly prosecuted upfront. Now just who has been in charge this decade with the exception of less than two years in congress? I am frankly amazed the race is even this close. I am no liberal. I am just sick of this BS. Open your eyes and your mind catron.

My pleasure:

Since we’re on a health care blog, let’s start off with O’s whopper about how much money his ridiculous health care plan would save. It can be found at FactCheck.org.

Here’s another FactCheck.org link on Obama’s stretchers: The highly appropriate title is, He stuck to the facts, except when he stretched them.

There are many more examples to be found if you are interested in actual facts.

I'm not Catron, but I will point out that Clinton lied in court, under oath. That's a little different, isn't it?

If it's 2008, why is Obama running against George Bush all the time?

...hmmm, BC, maybe Obama is mentioning Bush's dubious achievements because Dubya's "maverick" would-be-succesor voted with him over NINETY percent of the time???

You know, Bush doesn't actually vote in the Senate, so I've never really gotten the "90%" thing.

The Senate also votes unanimously about 50% of the time--Boy Scout Week, etc--so you may want to check your figures. Obama probably voted "with Bush" quite a few times.

And maybe BO doesn't really want to run against McCain?

Now here's BO's "truth":

Of course, Limbaugh and McCain are complete opposites on immigration! Can BO smear them both at once? Of course--no repect for the truth.

Barack Obama: "Changing the Tone in Washington"--Hah!

Don't you think you're above having a "lie counter" .gif on your blog? Sheesh.

I forgot today was Wednesday, my bad.

That Fox News link (the video at the link) at the bottom is pretty anti-Obama, actually.

So it looks like some of you want to hear about a recent lie that Obama told. How about when he RECENTLY lied to all the elderly in Florida about what McCain wanted to do to their SSI? Never mind that McCain's plan calls for the CHOICE [something I thought libbies liked] for those born in 1954 or LATER to put their a portion of their SSI into the market. This would, of course, preclude everyone that Obama lied to.

Additionally, the fact that a politician lies is nothing new but Obama, who is supposedly all about change and clean politicis is just as down and dirty.

He is, in the truest form, a slezebag.
