Garfield, without Garfield, becomes, in the author's words, "a comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life ... a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and methamphetamine addiction in a quiet American suburb."
It must be seen to be believed.

This is the best thing I've seen in weeks! I can hardly imagine what Garfield could be saying or doing that would make these even theoretically the dull, routine comic escapades that I know they must have been. If this was the real Garfield, Jim Davis would be revered on a plane with Camus and Beckett. At least.
