Ice Hotel

This is amazing -- stunningly beautiful. A hotel in Sweden built entirely out of ice. I wish I could visit, though it's as cold as a witch's teat, it is.

If you ever get a chance, watch the Discovery Channel documentary on it...they film an entire year of the process of building it, and it's just fascinating watching.

Beautiful. Did you know there's one just outside Quebec City?

Cold, sure. Mitigated nicely by three hot tubs and one very cool bar.

I had the pleasure of spending a night in the icehotel recently as an incentive. It is really stunning, extremely beautiful. Temperature is constant -8 Celsius degrees, but don't worry, you get clear instructions on how to dress and how to sleep in a special sleeping bag. What was most peculiar was the silence - the snow covered rooms absorb every noise - you don't even hear your roommate snore...
